Dragon's Dogma 2 Vocation: Fighter

Find out how to unlock this Vocation and all others HERE
Welcome to the Fighter Vocation for Dragon's Dogma 2. Vocations are a very important factor that will determine the skills and weapons available to your character, influencing your overall approach to combat situations in Dragon's Dogma 2. Some Vocations and unique abilities can be unlocked by gaining the favour of Maisters. These are masters of their respective Vocations, and can be found in various locations around the world.
How to Use Effectively
The Fighter Vocation makes for an excellent tank that is capable of taking a ton of punishment from many enemies at once. Use them in the middle of the battlefield where they can gather aggression from enemies and debilitate them with powerful knock-downs and parries, while supporting the mobility of allies. As long as a Fighter or similar Vocation is taking the aggression of enemies, healers and high-damaging Vocations can feel at ease to deal tremendous amounts of damage.

An uppercut attack that deals high damage and knocks smaller opponents down, dealing good damage.

The Fighter Vocation is dedicated to withstanding enemy attacks and running interference on the front lines, helping to support the rest of the group in doing so. This allows your more highly damaging allies to target enemies more safely while you take the brunt of their ire.
Making use of one-handed weapons and a shield, Fighters are capable of shrugging off large amounts of damage and recovering from disabling effects quickly, while delivering blows that are designed primarily to disrupt enemies in return. This can come in the form of knockbacks, knockdowns and staggers.
Fighters can even make use of their shield to propel allies high into the air so that they can grapple onto larger enemies and perform high-damaging critical strikes, all while the Fighter continues to soak up damage with ease.
